This application form linked at the foot of this page is common to all Student Systems. Please read the following guidelines before applying.
Section One: to be completed by the person requesting access.
Select the application(s) you require access to.
Section Two: to be completed by the person requesting access.
The member of staff should fill out this section of the form specifying his/her position. An important aspect of this form is that users must sign confirming that they are aware of, and will comply with, the University's Guidelines on Disclosure of Information about Students.
Section Three: to be completed by the senior member of staff authorising access.
The authorising, senior member of staff must sign to confirm that the applicant is an appropriate person to whom access should be given. The authoriser must consider each request in terms of the Guidance on Authorisation below.
Authorisation is managed by the Registry SACS Business Support Team, acting on behalf of the University. In deciding whether or not to authorise access, you must bear in mind the following:
The person to be given access must be employed by the University of Edinburgh under a contract issued by Human Resources, or must be deemed an associated member of staff.
There must be a need for the member of staff to have access to the data in order to perform his or her role
students who are also members of staff can be given staff access to EUCLID where they fulfil a role:
Once the form is signed a hard copy must be sent to the SACS, Old College.
Section Four: to be completed by the Registry SACS Business Support Tean.
The team verifies authorisation, creates accounts and passwords, allocates appropriate roles and will advise the applicant of the allocated username and password. This is normally completed within 3 days from our receipt of the application form.
